Nepal Bangladesh Bank net profit fall by 18.97%; EPS too fall by 59.81

Nepal Bangladesh Bank limited (NBB) has posted net profit of 43.80 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year 2074/75.

As per the unaudited report published, Net profit is decreased by 18.97%. Net profit decreased to 43.80 crore from 54.06 crore in the last year corresponding quarter.

Decrease in Net profit is mainly due to increase in interest expanse, operating expanse & staff expanses. Staff expanse increased by 19.24% to 23.73 crore.

During the period bank made a deposit collection of 41.89 arba & disburse in loan & advance 41.11 arba. Bank has borrowed 99.42 crore.

Net interest income slightly increased by 2.28% to 74.26 crore. Provision of bank is increased to 42.28%.

Operating profit of bank is also decreased by 14.88%. Operating profit of bank is 63.01 crore from 74.03 crore in the last year Q2.

Paid up capital of bank is 0.08 arba with reserve of 2.79 arba. Capital is increased by 101.61%. Capital increment is done by issuing 80% right share & stock bonus.

Non-performing loan stands at 1.47 from 0.99.

CD ratio is 79.13% which is enough tight. Bank must make further collection of deposit to float loan for income. Cost of fund is 7.92.

Annualized earning per share stands at 10.83 from 26.95.  EPS fall by 59.81%.

Net worth per share stands at 134.51 decreased by 17.99%. Price to earning ratio is 26 times.
